Celebrating the Christmas Season

Can You Serve at Christmas?

If you’re an Extraordinary Eucharistic Minister, a Lector, or an Altar Server (8th grade or older) and will be worshipping with us this Christmas, please consider signing-up to serve! There are sign-up sheets for all the Christmas Masses on the shelf in the ministry sign-in podium located in the vestibule; the sheets will be updated weekly. Should you have any questions, please contact Annette Ramos in the Parish Office at either annetter@stpacc.org or 882-2109. Thank you in advance and may God bless you for your service to our parish!

The Jesse Tree

Eighteen years ago St. Paul the Apostle parish began a partnership with Holy Rosary/St. John parish, sharing our blessings with them and theirs with us.

The Jesse Tree project serves two purposes.
For the people of our parish, it is an important part of our Advent Season when we prepare for the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ - His first joyful “coming” as a baby at Christmas and His second coming at the end of time. The second purpose of the Jesse Tree is to facilitate our gift giving to the community of Holy Rosary/St. John.

Some gift tags will ask for $35 checks for the Community Kitchen to buy food from the Mid-Ohio Food Bank at reduced prices. Other tags will ask for $25 checks. This money will be used to buy food items not available from the Food Bank and cover other operating costs.

We will also have tags for $50 checks that will cover operational costs for the Holy Rosary/St. John parish. Other tags will ask for gift cards that are used in several ways:
1) to provide non-food items for the Kitchen such as plastic wrap, foil, etc.
2) to provide needed supplies for the parish’s children and senior ministries, &
3) to provide for special needs of the parish community. We will also ask for toiletries and warm gloves, hats, and socks.

Too often, the basic needs of toothpaste, shampoo, soap, and warm clothing go unfilled for those in the neighborhood of Holy Rosary/St. John since buying food must be their first priority.

Finally, through St. Paul school, toys are collected to be distributed to the children of the community at the Community Kitchen Christmas Party on Tuesday, December 23. Please pull a gift tag from the Jesse Tree and return your gifts to the vestibule or the Parish Office by Wednesday, December 17, but no later than Monday, December 22. Thank you in advance for your wonderful generosity!

RCIA Prayer Partners

RCIA would you or your family like to volunteer to be a Prayer Partner for a candidate in the RCIA this year? This is such a very simple – yet most meaningful way, to befriend someone who is learning and growing in their faith. Prayer partners are committed to remember one person by name each day throughout the year in prayer. For those interested, please pick up an envelope in the vestibule of the church. You will find complete instructions to get started as well as a photo of the adult in need of your prayer support. Please contact Loretta in the Parish Office at either 882-2109 or lorettan@stpacc.org should you have any qeustions.
Thank you!
