Overview
The soccer season starts in early August and ends with a tournament in early
September.
The normal season last 5 weeks with around 10 games, 2 per week - one during the
week and one on the weekend.
Diocese soccer has 11 players on the field and they play with a #5 ball (there
is some discussion to change this to a #4 ball for Grades 4, 5 and 6).
Tryouts
There are no tryouts at any grade level.
Minimum Playing Time (per player)
Varsity and Jr. Varsity players must participate in parts of 2 quarters or
one full quarter.
Sr. Reserve, Reserve and Jr. Reserve players must play at least the equivalent of
one full quarter.
Games
We will play some home games at the Westerville Rec fields on Cleveland Ave.
Away games will be played at any of the Diocese Schools in the Columbus area.
Practices
Practices start mid July; you will hear from your coach. Practices will be
held at various Westerville fields.
Don't worry if you're going to miss some time on vacation.
Equipment
St. Paul will provide jerseys and socks. Players need to provide their own shorts and cleats. All jerseys are to be returned at the end of the season.
Rules
Ohio High School soccer rules apply for all grades. Amended rules specific to diocesan soccer can be found on the Columbus Diocesan Recreation website.

Concessions
Not applicable.
